Who We Are: Internetbuttons
Most of us learned the internet by pressing buttons and hoping for the best. Internetbuttons is a publication for people who want to use technology with a bit more confidence, whether they are new online, helping a relative or simply tired of confusing settings.
Digital Accessibility
Websites, apps and devices should work for people with different abilities. We explain built-in features, common barriers and how to ask for improvements in plain language.
Everyday Technology
Phones, browsers, backups, updates and home networks. Guides here aim to be step by step, tested against current versions where possible and honest about what varies by device.
Online Safety
Scams, passwords, privacy settings and safer habits. We describe how common tricks work and what to do next, without scare tactics.
Digital Learning
Tips for learning new tools, supporting students and building skills at any age, with attention to free and widely available options.
We write for readers who have never felt at home with technology as well as for the person who gets asked to fix everything at family gatherings. Steps are numbered, jargon is explained and screenshots are described in words so that guides remain usable with assistive tools. Where menus differ between versions, we say so instead of guessing.
Before a guide is published we compare it with official help pages and try the steps where we can. When software changes, we revise the article and date the update, because instructions that were right last year can quietly become wrong.
Instructions are reviewed against official documentation and revised as software changes. If a step no longer works or a fact is wrong, write to [email protected].
